Izakaya · Puigcerdà lake
Small plates, hot coals, lanterns on the water.
You may know us as Miyagi. Same house, same kitchen, new name.
The cabin
The geese knock on the window for dinner.
This little cabin had been a café and a crêperie, and neither lasted. In 2025 Toni Alonso saw something else in it: a proper izakaya, like the ones he knew from his years in Japan.
Inside, it's all timber, paper lanterns and banners carried back in suitcases every summer, many of them gifts from Japanese bar owners after Toni admired them. Outside, a 13th-century lake and Schierbeck park.
So what's an izakaya?
Japan's answer to the tapas bar. You come to share, order one more round and lose track of time.
The grill is boss
Chicken, pork, vegetable or wagyu yakitori, sent out as they come off the coals.
Everyone eats
There's a good choice of vegan dishes. Ask what's on today.
